CEV School Project activities further expanded across Slovenia

Kids from all over Slovenia and even Croatia gathered in the Gorenjska region to attend the U11 Elan Volleyball Time tournament organised by OK Bled and the Volleyball Federation of Slovenia (OZS) back in February. They all enriched their carnival activities with some Volleyball during the weekend. More than 40 teams competed at the event and many parents, grandparents, and friends witnessed great performances from the Slovenian youngsters on no less than 10 courts at the SGTŠ Radovljica sports hall (click here for further info).

The OZS has managed to find an agreement for another U11 such event that will take place on April 4 in Ljubljana (run together with ŽOK Šentvid). The date for the U13 CEV School Volleyball event in Šempeter (organised together with OK Spodnja Savinjska) is also confirmed. Kids from 70 teams will gather on April 15.

CEV School Festival 2023

After successful Beach Volleyball festivals in Novo mesto and Ljubljana in 2022, the OZS has confirmed the programme for the CEV School Volleyball Festivals in 2023. The first event will be organised in Šentvid, Ljubljana (together with ŽOK Šentvid) on June 3, whereas the event in Novo mesto (run together with TPV Volley Novo mesto) will be taking place on July 8.

At the Slovenian Snow Volleyball national championships, a promotional Snow Volleyball match between three U13 teams will be played on March 19 at Krvavec Ski resort with the intention to show that Volleyball can be played anytime and anywhere.

Camp OZS 2023

After a one-year break, the Federation's volleyball camp for boys and girls will be organised in Kozje, with more than 70 kids expected to attend.

Club and school activities

The feedback received on the CEV School Volleyball Teachers’ handbook has been very positive, and the OZS has been asked if the CEV is planning for the production of a Part 2 so that even more exercises would be available to those working with kids at the entry level of the game. Extra-curricular activities in elementary schools and club school activities are running smoothly.
