CEV delegation attends annual EU Sport Forum in Liege

CEV Board of Administration member Geert De Dobbeleer and Head of Development Vuk Karanovic are attending this week the annual EU Sport Forum organised by the European Commission in Liege, Belgium. 

This year’s edition focuses on key themes such as integrity, green and sustainable sport, women in sport, youth and health in the highly challenging digital age as well as lifelong sport, with a variety of high-profile speakers from across sports organisations, including former elite athletes, and political institutions. Moreover, the 2024 EU Sport Forum does quite naturally focus on and celebrate the two major sporting events due to take place in Europe later this year – the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as well as the UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany. 

Moreover, the European Commission is sharing with the attendees the latest developments and future priorities in regard to the European sport model, the EU sport policy and Erasmus+ funding opportunities.
