Marek Pakosta (CZE)

Pakosta represented the Czech Republic when Beach Volleyball made its historic Olympic debut in Atlanta back in 1996. Playing indoors, he crowned himself Czech national champion as many as six times and he is a three-time winner of the French national league. He has three European Cups titles to his name and is a certified FIVB coach as well.
Pakosta has been the President of the Czech Volleyball Federation since 2017, is a member of the Management Board of the Czech Olympic Committee, Vice-President of the Czech Union of Sport and he supports the work of the Sports National Agency as an expert in the development of sports infrastructure. He holds a Master of Science in Athletic Training and Sports Management from the renowned Charles University in Prague.

With a wealth of experience in event organisation and management as well as in other areas such as telecommunications and real estate, Pakosta joined the CEV Board of Administration following the XLV CEV General Assembly held in Naples, Italy, in the summer of 2024.
