Through funding by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, the creation of a first ever European Green Sports Hub is underway to support sustainability through European sports and sports events! It will act as an eco-platform for European sports, federations, events, leagues and teams. The main aim of the project is to help the sport sector identify its needs and potential actions for a greener and more sustainable future. This informative hub will therefore guide sports organisations like CEV and beyond to learn best practices for maintaining healthy, sustainable events that complement the environment.

The Green Sports Hub Europe will connect European sporting organisations from the local to European level to promote sustainable sport measures. It will directly address five groups of stakeholders:

- EU and official European bodies

- National governments and national governmental agencies

- Sport organisations at all levels

- The business sector

- Individuals
