Changes at the helm of North European Volleyball Zonal Association
News
Annika Sjöberg and Simon Dahl will be leading the North European Volleyball Zonal Association (NEVZA) for the next two years as their President and Secretary General, respectively. They currently hold the very same positions at the Swedish Volleyball Association as well.

NEVZA is one of the Zonal Associations placed under the umbrella of the European Volleyball Confederation. Its mission is to help coordinate the efforts made by their member National Federations to grow Volleyball in their respective countries and to deliver youth and senior Volleyball and Beach Volleyball competitions at a zonal level too. It currently includes the National Federations of Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
Ms Sjöberg and Mr Dahl were appointed during an extraordinary annual meeting held earlier this month, where the Swedish representatives were nominated by their colleagues from the Norwegian Volleyball Association. They accepted the proposal, which was eventually backed by all member countries. Simon Dahl replaces Jussi Jokinen of Finland as Secretary General, while Annika Sjöberg takes over the president’s role thereby following in the footsteps of her countryman, Lennart Neovius.
Annika Sjöberg“We thank Lennart and Jussi for their efforts and are happy that Sweden continues to be trusted to lead the work of this organisation. NEVZA fulfils an important function as an organiser of international competitions and at the same time offers a forum and platform to exchange ideas and find consensus on issues that we can jointly raise and agree on at the CEV level."
