Blažo Milić, a member of OK BUDVA and a winner of the national league and cup in 2021, emerged as the best male Volleyball player in domestic competitions from a shortlist including Djordje Jovović (Budućnost Volley) and Peko Zec (Mediteran) as well.
Bojan Strugar was the recipient of a similar award for Montenegrin players performing abroad. Earlier this year, Strugar won the Swiss Cup and was the Most Valuable Player of the Swiss national league finals while wearing the jersey of TSV JONA. He was the top scorer of the Swiss national league as well – where this year he is playing for the likes of Volley NÄFELS. Vojin Ćaćić (VfB Friedrichshafen, Germany), Ivan Ječmenica (Cambrai Volley, France) and Marko Vukašinović (Ravenna, Italy) were among the nominees for the award as well.

Vukasin Cimbaljevic claimed the prize for the most promising Volleyball player for a second year in a row. He achieved the feat in 2020 as well – and he has since moved to Serbia to play for the junior team of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. Matija Ćinćur (Budućnost Volley, the most promising Volleyball player of Montenegro in 2019), Jovan Tmušić (Mediteran), Milan Rovčanin (Jedinstvo), and Avram Božović (Galeb) were the other nominees for the prize.
With two titles to his name from the national cup and league, Miloš Marković, the coach of OK Budva, was somehow a natural choice for the award going to the best coach of 2021.
Moving to the women’s side, Marija Bojić (Galeb BAR) received the most votes to claim the award for the best female player from domestic competitions. In 2021, Bojic won the Montenegrin Cup with Galeb. Dušanka Petrović (Luka BAR) and Teodora Čavić (Galeb) were in contention for the same distinction as well.
Nikoleta Perović, who has been contesting the Turkish national league with the team of TED ANKARA Kolejliler SK, emerged as the winner for the prize of best female player performing abroad from a shortlist including Danijela Dzakovic (Aragona, Italy), Saska Djurovic (Tent Obrenovac, Serbia) and Marija Milovic (Voluntari 2005, Romania).

Majda Čakar (Rudar Pljevlja) is Montenegro’s most promising female player of 2021. The competition included Maša Dragojević (Galeb), Tamara Vukoslavčević (Luka Bar), Anja Popović (Academija), as well as Milena Ćetković (Budućnost Volley), Varja Delibašić (Mediteran), Lara Jovović (Morača), Simona Petranović (Ub, Serbia), Teodora Bulatović (Gimnazijalac), Vanja Matunović (Mediteran) and Lana Labović (Galeb).
The award for the best women’s coach went to Vladimir Milačić of Luka BAR.
Volleyball clubs, staff working for Montenegro’s national teams and members of the OSCG Coaching Commission prepared the shortlists for each award. Due to the restrictions implemented by national authorities in response to the resurgence of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro will not organise any public ceremony, but will present the awards on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 12 at their own premises in Podgorica.
