Slovak Federation looking to recruit new coach for men’s national team

The Slovak Volleyball Federation invites highly qualified coaches to apply to lead their men’s national team. Team Slovakia recently had to endure a very disappointing campaign in the CEV EuroVolley 2023 qualifiers, eventually failing to reach the final stage of the competition for the first time since the 2005 edition.

In order to support their men’s national team programme, the Slovak Federation has opened a vacancy with any interested candidates invited to send in their applications by October 31, 2022 at the very latest. These shall include a detailed CV as well as a draft programme for the team for the next two years plus another two subsequent seasons.

After a two-step selection process, the Slovak Volleyball Federation will announce the name of the newly appointed head coach by December 15, 2022. Any interested applicants shall send the abovementioned documents to the President (rojko@svf.sk) as well as to the Sports Director (majek@svf.sk) of the Slovak Volleyball Federation.

Apart from securing the CEV European League title in 2008 and 2011, Slovakia achieved a historic fifth place – their best result to date – in the 2011 edition of EuroVolley co-hosted by Austria and the Czech Republic when they lost in the quarterfinals to eventual bronze medal winners Poland.
