OSCG teams up with insurance company to deliver ‘Free Volleyball School’ project
News
The President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG), Cvetko Pajković, and the Executive Director of the insurance company Sava osiguranje, Nebojsa Scekic, have signed a sponsorship agreement under which the renowned insurance company will directly help purchase sports equipment to support those participating in the ‘Free Volleyball School’ project.
One of the most important projects ever run in Montenegrin Volleyball history, the ‘Free Volleyball School’ officially started in early November 2021 and has already paid dividends. So far, nearly 300 boys have joined activities in eight cities in northern Montenegro, which accounts for some 20 new clubs in areas where men’s Volleyball has not enjoyed much popularity thus far.
The project has involved 13 schools: three schools from Pljevlja, three from Bijelo Polje, two from Berane, and one each from Rozaje, Niksic, Zabljak, Mojkovac and Kolasin.
The CEV, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Directorate for Sports and Youth, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee and local municipalities have all recognised the importance of the project.
The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro has also launched a special website www.skolaodbojke.me, which deals solely with the programme.
All this shows that the project is very likely to achieve the previously set goals. Moreover, the partnership with Sava osiguranje is just a confirmation that Montenegrin Volleyball is on the right track towards further growth and success.
