Sweden’s Volleyball superstar Isabelle Haak, widely regarded as one of the world’s best female volleyball players, has added yet another accolade to her ever-growing resume. She was recently awarded the coveted 2024 Victoria Prize in recognition of her phenomenal 2023/2024 season. Haak did not only win the elite CEV Champions League a few weeks ago with her Italian team Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO, she was also the top scorer in the final and was named the Most Valuable Player of the matchup with their domestic rivals Allianz Vero Volley MILANO. Isabelle and her team also won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa and became Italian champions to complete a truly perfect and remarkable season.

Haak made her debut with the Swedish national team as a 14-year-old, and she is now the real face of Swedish Volleyball. During her successful professional career, she has played in the Swedish, French, Turkish and Italian leagues with a string of successes and awards as a result. Now another accolade is added to her impressive collection, the Victoria Prize 2024.

“It is truly an honour to receive this prestigious award. I am even a little shocked, but at the same time it is of course very important that Volleyball, which remains such a small sport in Sweden, is being noticed in this way."

Throughout her career, Haak has won the Swedish Elitserien (with Engelholms VS), the Club World Championship, the Turkish Super Cup, the Turkish Cup, and the CEV Champions League (with VakifBank ISTANBUL) as well as the Club World Championship, Coppa Italia, Serie A1 and the Champions League (with Imoco Volley). Time and time again, ‘Bella’ has also been named the Most Valuable Player in many of these competitions. She is still only 24 years old but truly a volleyball superstar and one of Sweden’s top athletes across all sports. Her last season in Italy was magical, as she won every single competition that she contested.

Haak had a phenomenal year with Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO

As a Victoria Prize winner, Haak joins a group of Swedish sports legends. The Victoria Prize has been awarded annually since 1979 by HRH Crown Princess Victoria during the Victoria concert. This year’s ceremony will be taking place on July 14. The concert is an annual tribute to the Crown Princess on her birthday. The celebration takes place at Borgholm Castle and features performances by prominent artists, the awarding of the Victoria Prize and fundraising for Crown Princess Victoria’s fund.

Only a few weeks ago, Haak received the award for the Most Valuable Player of the Champions League Super Finals held in Antalya, Türkiye

Collected funds are used to give children with disabilities the same right to participate in leisure activities as all other children. Through camp activities, trips, excursions, and the opportunity to try different sports, the aim is to support actions that contribute to breaking isolation, raising the quality of life, strengthening self-esteem, and facilitating the opportunity to make new friends.
