Helsinki to host annual Power Cup – Join the world’s largest Volleyball event in the Finnish capital!
News
The annual Power Cup will take its next big steps toward the future when the four-day event specifically designed for children and youth heads to Käpylä Sports Park in Helsinki. From June 11 to 14, 2026, the Power Cup will bring more than 8,000 young players, coaches, guardians, and volunteers to the city. At the same time, it will bring a huge amount of life, joy, and spirit of unity to the Finnish capital – the very values that Power Cup has cherished for decades. The events for the next two years, 2026 and 2027, will be held in Helsinki, which combines strong infrastructure, responsible accessibility, and an appeal that supports internationalisation.
“Volleyball is a massive sport worldwide. The Power Cup event is the biggest showcase for Finnish junior Volleyball – we want to offer Finnish players and coaches the opportunity to compete internationally. As part of our development work, we will be updating the participant packages and offering a wide range of accommodation options. The event organisation model will also change,” comments Riia Martinoja, Director of Events and Marketing at the Finnish Volleyball Federation.
New event packages alongside familiar tournament passes
Registration for next summer’s event is open until March 31. Participants can sign up for the familiar tournament pass, which includes legendary school accommodation, Volleyball tournaments, meals, and side events. New options include a competition pass with a hotel package. School accommodation and hotel accommodation are located in Helsinki and Vantaa.
“We are expecting a real rush of teams for this year’s event. Helsinki is easily accessible in many ways, and there has already been a lot of international interest, even from outside Europe. The new event package is sure to be interesting and give teams a more diverse range of options for participating in the event,” says Anna Komu, Event Director of the Power Cup.
In addition to the four-day Volleyball tournament, the event offers much more. The entire event area will be located in one place, the Käpylä Sports Park. This will allow all participants to take part in the diverse extra programme and access the comprehensive event services more easily. At the heart of the event area, competitors and visitors will once again be served by the varied Power Market with its special programme, as well as food and partner stands.
