Former elite player Ksenija Božović to oversee Montenegrin women’s national teams

The Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG) recently announced the appointment of former national team player Ksenija Božović as their Director of Women’s National Teams.
Božović, a former member of Montenegro’s national team under her maiden name Ivanović, wore the national team jersey from 2008 until the end of her competitive career in 2019. She will be responsible for overseeing all women’s national teams across all age groups, as decided by the newly elected President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, Nikola Kažić.
After concluding an illustrious playing career spanning two decades, Božović served as the Assistant Director of the Sports Administration. She started her volleyball journey with Budućnost, and she played for Podgorica VC in her native Montenegro as well. From 2006 to 2010, Ksenija competed in the Serbian national league for Zrenjanin and Klek. Her stints abroad included playing for Charleroi in Belgium and Wiesbaden in Germany, where she recorded outstanding performances over the three seasons she spent in the German Bundesliga.
Following a year in France, Božović played for Azerbaijan’s Telekom Baku, where she won the national league title in the 2016/2017 season and participated in the elite CEV Champions League. She concluded her career in Hungary, playing in Békéscsaba, with whom she won the Hungarian championship and the MEVZA League in 2018, and in the following season reached the semi-finals of the CEV Cup.
