ERC President joins annual seminar for Romanian referees and supervisors via video link

This past weekend, the city of Ploiești hosted the Annual Seminar specifically designed for Romanian Volleyball referees and supervisors. The event involved as many as 155 referees and 27 supervisors and was attended also by Mr Adin Marian Cojocaru, President of the Romanian Volleyball Federation.

Moreover, Arturo Di Giacomo, President of the European Refereeing Commission (ERC), joined from afar for an online session on the Saturday morning. In his presentation, Mr Di Giacomo highlighted the importance of smooth refereeing in modern Volleyball, underlining how referees can contribute to the overall flow and attractiveness of the game. He also emphasised the key role of Referee Coaches in supporting referees to further develop their skills.

Throughout the seminar, the latest rule modifications to be implemented in all Romanian domestic competitions were presented and explained, thereby fully aligning with the latest guidelines of both CEV and FIVB.
Closing the event, Mr Cojocaru thanked the ERC President for his highly appreciated participation and conveyed his best wishes for a successful new season to all Romanian referees and supervisors.
