With the holiday season coming up soon, volleyball clubs Strumica Nikob and Mladost UGD still managed to deliver CEV School Project activities in North Macedonia.

OK Strumica Nikob did so on December 15, with some 20 children, all boys aged 11-12 years old, in attendance. The volleyball class was held at the Partizan sports hall with participation of the coach leading the most decorated team in men’s senior domestic competitions. Under his guidance, the children had the opportunity to become familiar with the basic volleyball elements, which they learned through a series of exercises specifically designed for young beginners at their age. It is a good feeling to see that through the project the city of Strumica and the volleyball club are continuing the tradition of identifying talented and promising children who one day may be able to extend their continued success story in the sport.

The second such activity was organised by OK Mladost UGD on December 19 in the city of Shtip. They are among the latest clubs to have joined the project and it is a real reward to see a large number of children attending volleyball lessons. The classes were attended by more than 40 children, mostly girls, who had the opportunity to perform a variety of exercises to improve their coordination and orientation in space.

Another School Project activity is planned for last weekend of December in Skopje – more specifically a mini-competition where children will be able to enjoy socialising through Volleyball.
