The second edition of the Volleyball Management Programme organised by the CEV in cooperation with LUNEX University has gotten underway with the first classes of a module focussing on strategic planning delivered by Geoff Wilson, a renowned sports strategist and consultant.

The innovative course, attended this year by almost 20 students from across Europe, has started with a module on ‘Strategic Management and Digital Transformation’. The classes will acquaint students with an in-depth understanding of the process to follow to define their own strategic plan as well as such a plan for the organisation (National Federation) that they work for. After an in-depth analysis, involving all relevant stakeholders and by defining their mission/vision, the students will be able to identify strategic objectives and ways to monitor progress towards their achievement.

The classes dealing with this module will continue until January 19 and will be followed by those dealing with ‘Good Governance and Sustainability’, another topic that is highly relevant to anyone working in the sports business and is wishing to upgrade their skills, their knowledge, and their understanding of today’s very complex business environment.

Further modules on ‘Digital Marketing and Social Media’, ‘Finance & Economics’, “Communication & Event Management’ will then follow in February and March.
