In their continuous efforts to grow the Volleyball game across the Caucasus country, representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) recently delivered a Volleyball masterclass to fourth graders from the primary school no. 17 of the country’s capital, Yerevan. The VFA is among more than 20 National Federations to have embraced with much enthusiasm and dedication the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.

The activities ran with the help of students from the Yerevan Sports School coached by Smbat Gevorgyan, who leads the Armenian girls’ national team as well and represented Armenia at last year’s CEV Coaches Convention held in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia.

The school no. 17 stands out for its nicely equipped gym and the pupils had prepared a beautiful dance to perform for the VFA representatives. As Volleyball activities got underway, the young students performed a series of exercises trying to learn as much as possible of the fundamentals of the Volleyball game under the attentive guidance of Mr Gevorgyan.

At the end of the masterclass, the VFA provided the school with Volleyball equipment – which will prove highly important for Volleyball activities to continue in the weeks and months to come.
