Two more Volleyball festivals organised in Armenian schools
News
The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) has further expanded the reach and scope of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’. Earlier this month, a volleyball festival with the participation of the young students from the fifth and sixth grades was organised a the local Smbat Shahaziz primary school no. 2 in Ashtarak.
This was a very special and precious opportunity for the students to familiarise themselves with the rules of the game and to perform drills that would further strengthen their ability to play Volleyball. Ms Zhanna Bondareva, who is responsible for the delivery of the CEV School Project in the Aragatsotn Province, and Amalya Karapetyan, a member of the Armenian youth national team, were present at the event.
On January 20, another such action was organised in the city of Yeghvard and more specifically at the local primary school no. 3 with participation of pupils from the fifth up to eighth grade. The programme of this action was similar to what the VFA had done only a couple of days earlier in Ashtarak. The event was run by VFA officials and physical education teachers from the school, Tariel Hakobyan and Araik Prazyan.
At the end of both festivals, volleyballs were provided to the schools by the VFA to make sure that Volleyball activities will continue for the remainder of the school year.
