More than 160 people from across the European Volleyball community attended the Info Day organised by the CEV Development Department to familiarise themselves with the CEV Solidarity Fund and all the relevant processes and procedures. The strong attendance, combined with the number and quality of questions received in advance, clearly demonstrates that there is genuine interest and momentum around this revolutionary initiative which was officially launched at last year’s CEV General Assembly in Paris.

Participants were invited to submit their questions prior to the session, and many thoughtful and insightful contributions were received in advance of the Info Day. This not only confirms engagement but also reflects that National Federations, clubs, and individuals are already actively considering how to structure their project ideas. During the live session, the CEV Development Team was also able to address several additional questions submitted in real time, thus allowing for further support, clarification and transparency.

The recording of the Info Day will be made available to all registered participants and will be uploaded to the dedicated CEV Solidarity Fund webpage as well.

The timeline reads as follows:

•    31 March 2026 – Application deadline
•    15 May 2026 – Announcement of selected projects
•    30 June 2026 – Completion of administrative procedures
•    01 July 2026 – Start of project implementation

Interested parties are encouraged to check and consult the CEV Solidarity Fund dedicated webpage, which includes, among other things, links to the Application form for Type 1 Projects, the Fund Guidelines and as well as the Fund Templates plus the full Info Day presentation.

Moreover, a step-by-step Application Guide is available here.

As outlined in the 2026 Guidelines, Type 1 funding is open to National Federations, clubs, and individuals, and projects must clearly align with the following CEV Strategic Focus Areas:

•    Grassroots Development and Mass Participation
•    Digital Transformation
•    Inclusion and Diversity
•    Environmental Sustainability

Through this first round of applications, the CEV wants to fund the fantastic ideas that already exist within our Volleyball community. The Solidarity Fund is designed to give applicants that first push to transform a dream into a structured, strategic, and realistic project with clear objectives, measurable impact, and long-term legacy.

With this in mind, we are looking for:
•    Ambitious but feasible concepts
•    Clear objectives and realistic timelines
•    Transparent budgets and monitoring mechanisms
•    Strong community engagement and measurable impact.
