The Estonian Volleyball Federation did successfully organise a couple of school competitions this past December with participation of some 150 pupils and 15 teams across the cities of Tartu and Türi. With this, they have involved additional children in the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ and continue to inspire the next generation of Volleyball players.

CEV School Project Manager Siret Rits has intensified her work with schools from Tallinn and the neighbouring areas. Since this is Estonia’s largest and most populated region, school competitions will be broken down into three stages – with group matches followed by a playoff phase and the subsequent finals. The top three schools from across the Tallinn County will qualify and contest the national finals. The figures look very promising since 15 more schools than last year have signed up to contest the regional competition.

The dissemination of the CEV School Project across Estonia continues in January and February with more schools from across all counties of the Baltic nation due to join the programme.
