School Project inspires kids from Bratislava Region to play Volleyball

The Slovak Volleyball Federation (SVF) ran from early October until mid-November a series of activities in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.

The SVF delivered Volleyball classes at a number of elementary schools across the Bratislava Region thus involving some 127 kids – who completed a Volleyball programme following the principles and recommendations taken from the handbook produced by the CEV.

The physical education teachers involved were especially happy with the opportunity provided to introduce the Volleyball game to kids with a series of specific drills as per their age and skills. The plus taken from this action is that some 14 children eventually joined local Volleyball clubs – thus creating a much-needed bridge between schools and clubs to improve participation in the sport.

The workshops involved the following elementary schools: Elementary School Andreja Radlinskeho Kuty, Elementary School and Kindergarten Studienka, Elementary School Skalica.
