School Project helps establish new clubs in Azerbaijan

Since this past June, the Azerbaijan Volleyballl Federation (AVF) has started a project designed to grow Volleyball through as many as eight regional development centres spread across the Caucasus country. Much work has been done already resulting in the establishment of additional clubs, such as Tovuz, Ganja and Buta, and training sessions have been run at multiple schools.
CEV School Project activities have taken place in the country’s capital, Baku, as well. The members of the U14 girls’ team of the newly established Volleyball club Khari Byul Byul SHUSHA have been working hard already. Moreover, the AVF recently organised a meeting with teachers that attended the CEV Coaches Convention in Sofia. They shared their positive impressions and experience from their participation in the fourth edition of the pan-European convention. The Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation is planning to continue this work and each week will meet with new teams and organise friendly matches as well.
