The CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ continues to gain momentum in Denmark with the delivery of activities across the country likely to inspire more and more youngsters to play the game.

VK Vendsyssel has visited and run a Kidsvolley course at Skolegades skole for the past six weeks. The course is specifically designed for second graders. Mr Martin Andersen and Ms Kirstine Damgaard represented the club and the course happily ended with a small gift for all the students, as well as with the distribution of balls that can be used for future Kidsvolley activities.

After visiting two schools in the club’s immediate area, VK Millenium managed to create a volleyball team for vulnerable children with activities organised every week. Through continued cooperation with the schools, the club hopes that more children will join the team. It is a great pleasure to be able to do something meaningful for the kids and the organisers hope that the team will quickly integrate many of them into the club.

Moreover, after sending delegates to a course where Volleyball Denmark introduced Kidsvolley, Grønnevang skole has been running volleyball activities for quite a while using the balls and bands provided by the National Federation and the CEV. The classes have been taking place in a small hall where there is no net or drawing of the court, but working with creativity and the tools provided, the volleyball training has been a major hit up until now.
