This past May 16, the Volleyball Federation of North Macedonia did run a volleyball session in Zletovo, as they continue to expand the reach of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’. The action involved a small group of about 15 children, young boys and girls all aged 10-12, under the leadership of coach Igor Manasov, who leads the men’s team of the nearby Vesna Probishtip volleyball club.

Zletovo is a small village in the municipality of Probishtip, with a population of some 2,000 inhabitants, where there is some real interest for Volleyball. Children love this sport and attend any volleyball lessons with great enthusiasm.

The fact that through this project, children even in such a small place had the opportunity to get to know Volleyball is an example that the sport can and should be made accessible to every kid.

Later in May, a meeting was held in the Forza sports centre, with participation of six primary schools, whose teams competed against each other and in some way this action marked the end of the current school year. As many as 18 mini volleyball matches were contested, thereby involving 50 children. The reaction of the teachers was very positive, and they seemed to enjoy these activities, were satisfied with the interest shown by the children, and already look forward to the next school year and to any future activities related to the CEV School Project.
