A volleyball festival organised at the Zadarski otoci elementary school in Zadar is among the highlights from the many activities run by the Croatian Volleyball Association over the last few weeks in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.

The school hosted pupils from the Bartol Kašić elementary school and Šimun Kozićić Benje elementary school as well, with action running across as many as three courts – including one used for the warm-up. The festival lasted for some four hours, and it helped spread good vibes among teachers and students alike – some 70 kids joined in this activity.
In the very same area, another such activity took place at the primary school Petar Preradović in Zadar with some 20 students involved. It has been agreed with the school to run such classes at least once every two weeks. Some children are already playing for the Zadar volleyball club, and others have shown their interest as well.

The Croatian Volleyball Association and the Croatian School Association have been working closely together to expand the project, with activities run at the Primorje Goranska and Podmurvice elementary schools.
Moreover, on December 1, the Project Coordinators visited the Matija Petar Katančić elementary school, delivering a series of games and exercises, thus helping the local PE teacher expand his volleyball knowledge as well. The children were overjoyed by the fun-charged training session as well as by the gifts distributed at the end of the training.
