The Volleyball Federation of the Republic of Moldova continues to work hard to inspire youngsters to play the Volleyball game with the help of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.

Earlier this month, they did run two Volleyball workshops at local primary schools in the country’s capital, Chisinau, with plans already made to visit all primary and secondary schools in Chisinau before the end of the school year. Moreover, the first stage of a monthly mini volleyball tournament took place on September 24, with as many as 40 teams now registered to contest the newly created School Volley League. The top four teams from the main round featuring five group of eight teams each will eventually compete for the winners’ title in the final stage of the competition scheduled for late December. The programme currently includes 12 matches contested on every weekend.

Following the CEV Coaches Convention held earlier this month in Skopje, a similar conference will be taking place on September 29, thereby involving PE teachers, clubs and coaches in order to spread the CEV School Project activities even further and share the knowledge acquired by the Moldovan representatives who attended the event in the Macedonian capital.
