School competitions held across Albania as CEV School Project gains traction

CEV School Project activities have gained further traction in Albania throughout the last few weeks, especially through the delivery of a regional school championship taking place across the Balkan country.

Some 15 volleyball matches were contested in three different cities (Lezhë, Laç, and Rrëshen) featuring high-school teams and secondary school teams of young boys and girls. They played according to a pre-defined programme, including a first and second eliminatory phase and a final phase. The 1st and 2nd phase matches were played in different places, while the final matches were all held at the Arjana Arapi sports hall in the city of Rrëshen.

The matches were attended by the President of National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Albania, the Minister of Youth and Children and other representatives of the NOC Albania. The high-profile attendees awarded the winning teams as well as the most valuable player of the games. Live streaming of all matches was available through the mobile application of the NOC (Sportalb).

In the next phase, the best teams of all regions will come together and play against each other.
