The partners of the EmpowHER Volleyball Gamechanger (EVGC) project convened online on Monday for a first meeting which represented an ideal opportunity to outline the key goals of the Erasmus+ funded programme, discuss the project management protocol, and lay the groundwork for the upcoming onsite kick-off meeting scheduled for February 13-14.

The meeting was joined by members of the CEV Development Department and all other partners, namely the EU Office of the European Olympic Committees (EOC), the European Observatoire of Sport and Employment (EOSE), and the National Federations of Albania, Georgia, Germany, Luxembourg, Malta, and Sweden. Everyone shared their excitement for the ground-breaking project, which is set to run until the end of 2027 and has been designed specifically to promote gender equality and inclusivity in sports by empowering women within CEV and its key partners.

The EVGC project represents a significant step towards CEV’s long-term vision of achieving gender balance and empowering women to take on leadership roles within the sport. The Erasmus+ Programme funding will be instrumental in making this vision a reality, thereby positioning CEV as a leader in promoting gender equality among sports organisations across Europe.
