Nor Hachn primary school latest to join CEV School Project in Armenia

The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) has taken the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ to the primary school no. 1 of the Nor Hachn community. Representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia and the volleyball coach of the sports school of Nor Hachn, Mr Manuk Nikoghosyan, visited the local primary school, delivering a session open to students from the grades 6 to 8. 

These performed a variety of exercises, thus understanding more of the rules and improving their ability in mastering some of key technical skills associated with the Volleyball game. The local girls’ school team participates in regional volleyball championships of Kotayk Province and a number of school students have already joined volleyball clubs in the area. 

According to Garik Ivanyan, the physical education teacher at the school, the pupils very much love Volleyball. Friendly games and competitions among classes are always organised at the school to nurture their talent and passion. The representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia expressed their hope that the volleyball session delivered under the auspices of the CEV School Project will support the popularisation of the game and help involve as many children as possible.

The VFA provided the school with volleyballs, so that activities can continue in the coming weeks and months with the support of the right technical equipment.
