New floor and Junior Beach Volleyball Tour spark excitement across Irish Volleyball community
News
Volleyball Ireland (VLY) organised the national cup finals in early May and invited the schools involved in the CEV ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ programme to play their own finals on the newly laid Taraflex floor, which was tested for the very first time ahead of the upcoming #EuroVolleyU20W, a historic championship that Ireland will be co-hosting together with Bulgaria in August.

It is obvious that the recently installed volleyball floor at Indoor Arena in Dublin has created a buzz of excitement among students. This state-of-the-art court promises to enhance both safety and performance during any volleyball game.
For the boys’ finals, the Patrician HS met Sutton Park School and won their game; in the girls’ final match, Colaiste Mhuire edged Ardee Community School and brought home the trophy.

On May 18, Volleyball Ireland ran their first Junior Beach Volleyball Tour and places were booked out in the U18 2vs2 and U15 3vs3 categories.
To celebrate the end of the school year with an exciting volleyball blitz, DVC club organised and invited another primary school to participate in it. Participants returned home with cherished memories, formed lasting friendships and enjoyed an overall positive school experience.

Volleyball Ireland is already preparing a new plan for the 2024/2025 season while continuing to deliver booked-in late coach/referee courses.
