Maria Farsund to discuss ‘coachable-based approach’ in upcoming School Project webinar
News
The last webinar scheduled for the 11th such series run by the CEV Technical and Development Department in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ is coming up this Friday and will feature Norway’s Maria Farsund as the main speaker. If you are yet to register, make sure you do so via this link to receive access to the relevant video conference in time.
In this webinar, Farsund will highlight and discuss effective strategies for motivating and engaging young athletes. Central to her philosophy is the ‘coachable-based approach’, which emphasises mutual growth for both coaches and athletes in the process. Key themes include empathy, adaptability, and positive reinforcement, with a focus on clear communication and personalised coaching. The importance of creating a fun, competitive, and feedback-rich environment will be discussed too so as to encourage athletes to take ownership of their development.
If you wish to know more about Maria and her background, you are welcome to check and read the extensive interview we had with her earlier this year while running a series of chats with emerging female coaches!
