The Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) recently delivered their latest ‘School Volleyball’ festival at the premises of the primary school no. 164 named after Nver Safaryan in Yerevan. Young pupils from the fourth grade attended the event, and they tried to learn the key rules of the Volleyball game and to execute some basic drills to the best of their abilities.

Members of the Armenian national volleyball team - Khachatur Asmaryan, Ofelya Matosyan and Arpine Yeprikyan - tried to share their experience and knowledge with the young students.
The festival ended with a little ceremony as the VFA provided sports equipment to the school, hoping to help revive their long Volleyball tradition – since this was one of the strongest and most competitive schools in Yerevan when it comes to Volleyball activities. Valeri Karakhyan, a well-known coach, once worked at the same school, and he helped grow several generations of excellent Volleyball players.
