KidsVolley helps kids develop sense of confidence and mutual cooperation
News
KidsVolley at school has been a major theme at the workshops run by Volleyball Denmark in October. Officials from Volleyball Denmark have been travelling around the country gathering volunteers for local workshops.

Such workshops are an opportunity to encourage all clubs to collaborate with schools in the best way. If school visits during physical education classes can be combined with school competitions, there is likely to be a very good basis for recruiting more players through the schools. The challenge remains with the volunteers – who would need to take time off work to participate in activities run during school hours.
Volleyball Denmark supports local associations with materials and ideas as to what they can do in schools, so they can go out and teach in schools relatively easily. And with balls provided by the CEV, Volleyball Denmark volunteers are always likely to be well received.

Odense Volleyball has already developed an extremely good collaboration with a local school.
Recently, as many as 141 children tried their hand at KidsVolley, with 65 making their very first experience with the game. It was a fantastic day where both students and teachers went happy home!
On October 23, Volleyball Denmark visited Julemærkehjemmet Kildemose where the focus was very much on fair play. Through KidsVolley, it was obvious how sport can strengthen relationships and spark a sense of joy and fulfilment among children. Kidsvolley promotes cooperation and can help build confidence in each child. Volleyball Denmark are always happy to visit homes hosting children with challenges or special needs, as they can help give them a good day.
