There was a great turnout for the Kidsvolley school tournament run in Espergærde with some 170 children from the second grade impressing with their superb performances.

With a high level of noise, plenty of energy, and smiles, 170 enthusiastic children participated in the Kidsvolley School Tournament at Grydemosehallen. The day was filled with intense matches, impressive performances, and an astounding amount of energy. Classes from Grydemoseskolen, Mørdrupskolen, and Skolen ved Gurrevej were represented, and it was clear that they all had practiced hard before the tournament. There was a high tempo, beautiful duels, and close matches throughout and, notably, a constant battle for the top positions.

All students gave their all on the court, playing with determination, and between matches, there was either cheering or socialising across classes and schools.

“It was a pleasure to organise the tournament, and we hope that more students have been inspired, so we will see them at training on our Kidsvolley team. Finally, a big thanks to CEV for the fine balls provided for the tournament!"

During the weekend of January 27-28, the PokalFestival 2024 took place in fantastic surroundings in Vejle in Denmark, this year with a record number of participating teams. A total of 197 teams were spread across four halls, 45 courts, under the same roof, with games running almost without any break or interruption. Kidsvolley was played for children between 6-12 years of age, and Teenvolley as well as King of Court for those aged 12-16.

The event could only go ahead thanks to the many volunteers from ØSVN, Vejle Youth Volleyball, Vejle Municipality, and others from near and far who assisted with both big and small tasks in the halls. The enthusiasm and work around the PokalFestival were outstanding both before and during the weekend. The organisers wish to thank the many coaches and parents who spent the weekend with all the young stars, allowing them to focus on playing Volleyball and contributing to a positive and encouraging atmosphere throughout the festival.

The PokalFestival 2024 has been a success, thanks to a collective effort from everyone involved. Volleyball Denmark is ready for another round in 2025, and they hope to see just as many enthusiastic youngsters!
