Professional Beach Volleyball player Jyrki Nurminen, who works as a coach for Puma-Volley as well, has helped with the delivery of School Project related activities in Finland – more specifically by paying visit to three schools in the country and running Volleyball workshops there.

The Volleyball classes he ran in Käpylä (October 25), Korso (November 5) and Malminkartano (December 7) essentially followed all the same programme.

Jyrki started his lesson by introducing the Volleyball game to the kids, asking how many had tried to play it before, and what they knew about Volleyball as a sport. For the warm-up, Nurminen shared some tricks with the kids – which included the introduction of basic Volleyball technical skills.

After exercising, the kids started to play games in small groups. At the end of each lesson, the children showed their desire to play Volleyball in such a way that everyone would be standing on the court. Each team got a point every time they managed to play the ball over the net, doing so by using the right Volleyball technical skills.
