With School Project activities currently in full swing across Europe, coaches and PE teachers working with children at the entry level of the game can draw further inspiration from a series of webinars scheduled for next week – with three highly qualified speakers due to share insights into their work and on how to grow the game in a fun but productive environment.

Virpi Ojakangas will open the 8th School Project webinar series on Monday, December 5, with a focus on the impact of sports to future life. Using her sport and business coaching experience, she will be able to address teachers/coaches on what kind of leadership attracts young people to sports and discuss the million-dollar question “Who coaches the coach?”

Only two days later, on December 7, Ana Vidal Bouza, who works as a School Project Manager for the Icelandic Volleyball Association, will introduce the concept of “Challenge volley”, a motivational way of coaching based on using challenges and games for training. She will present ready-made educational materials (including videos and graphics) which have been created over many years of training and implemented in her practices.

Finally, Yordan Georgiev of Bulgaria will wrap up the series on December 9 with a webinar on conditional training (physical training methods) for youth volleyball players, with a focus on those aged between 12 and 15.
