This past March 15, children aged 10-14 came together at the Dr Jovan Kalauzi sports hall in Bitola. Under the mentorship of coaches Robert Mitkovski and Aleksandar Temelkovski, Vladimir Trifunovski and Ivana Belokozovska, who are selflessly involved in the delivery of the CEV School Project and active throughout the whole school year, the first such activity was held in the city of Bitola, hoping to recruit new young players. At this stage, more than 300 children are actively involved in the project, all aged 6-16, and some of them compete in state leagues in a variety of youth categories.

The satisfaction is great for the Volleyball Federation of North Macedonia when seeing that the city of Bitola and the volleyball club Pelister Volley are serious about the development of Volleyball, and especially about introducing the local children to this sport.

About a week later, a similar initiative for children born in 2009-2011 was organised in Stip. This meeting was attended by more than 30 children who already have a basic knowledge of the volleyball game, so they performed slightly more complex exercises than their peers from Bitola.

On March 28, the volleyball club Mladost UGD held such an action for kids born in 2013 and younger in the hall of the Slavcho Stojmenski High School under the leadership of coach Blagoj Tasev and Sara Stojanova. Basic elements of the volleyball game at the entry level were performed, and about 40 children participated in the meeting.

The volleyball team Mladost UGD is one of the latest clubs to join the project, but the fact that the work is so dedicated and organised is pleasing to see. Children from Stip love Volleyball and want to be a part of organised activities, and their mentors selflessly pass on their love and knowledge of the game.

As the end of the school year slowly but surely approaches, activities with a competitive nature are planned for the coming weeks and months.
