Dozens of kids join re-established youth Volleyball group in Armenia
News
A children’s and youth Volleyball group has been running in the Nor Hachn community of Kotayk Province, Armenia, since early October 2022. This somehow justifies the visit paid by representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) earlier this week to the local sports school, where a volleyball festival took place with participation of the newly formed group in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’.
Two members of the Avan volleyball team, Inga Ghukasyan and Inga Karapetyan, attended the festival. Manuk Nikoghosyan, a member of the NUACA men’s volleyball team, himself a high-class athlete, works with the newly formed Volleyball group in this community.
Thanks to the efforts made by the coach and the management of the sports school, a children’s and youth Volleyball group has been re-established after a long break, and in one month only, more than 30 young players have joined in the activities.
The VFA highly appreciates this initiative and has provided the necessary sports equipment to the school after the end of the masterclass. The Volleyball Federation of Armenia is hopeful that soon Nor Hachn volleyball teams will be competing in the youth national championships.
