Dozens of kids join mini volleyball festival in Albania

As they continue to grow the game with the help of the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’, the Albanian Volleyball Federation organised earlier this month a U16 mini volleyball festival in the city of Rrëshen, in the north-western section of the Balkan country.
The organisers invited local schools from the area as well as from the nearby city of Lezhë. Moreover, the Dinamo Team from Tirana travelled outside the capital to join in the festival as well – with their players involved in a friendly match. This way, all the children present not only took part in the festival by playing Volleyball themselves, but they witnessed elite action provided by the players of Dinamo as well.
This activity was a great opportunity for the children to learn more about the Volleyball rules and how they can become as good as their peers from the Dinamo team by practicing and enjoying Volleyball in their respective schools. At least 80 children took part in this activity - all were very enthusiastic to play and had a lot of fun.
Since the children who took part in the festival were mostly females, the delegation from the Albanian Volleyball Federation visited the secondary school Rubik in the same area where it organised a short practice and a simplified volleyball game with the local youngsters.
