#CEVCoachesConvention 2024: attendees applying the knowledge in creative workshops
News
The 2024 edition of the CEV Coaches Convention came to an end on Sunday after an inspiring morning session, featuring creative workshops.
Divided into 25 working groups, the 160+ attendees from 37 countries from across Europe, had to solve real Volleyball cases, based on the new knowledge they had gained on the day before in both the theoretical and practical sessions.
The “challenges” that were created by the speakers of the event - Mr. Ranko Rajovic, Mr. Rok Tomazic, Mr. Atsushi Andre Katoh and Mr. Kare Mol, inspired the attendees who had to work in mixed groups, meaning they had to complete the tasks, looking for a solution with colleagues from other countries.
Challenge 1
Come up with a game based on the knowledge you gained yesterday.
Focus on the muscle groups you want to target and develop.
Challenge 2
What is the core coaching principle that guides your approach to training and developing athletes?
Challenge 3
When this convention is done, it is important to incorporate what you’ve learned into your work.
What are some things you’d like to adjust in your practical session?
The inspired participants worked together, teamed up with colleagues from different countries, exchanging new ideas based also on their own experiences.
Morten Logagen from Denmark and Jane Ashbrook from England won the social media contest, organised by the CEV, going back home with a Mikasa minini volleyball ball each.
The President of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation, and CEV Board of Administration Member, Mr.Lyubomir Ganev greeted the attendees at the end of the Convention.
Lyubomir Ganev“Thank you for your commitment. The coaches play the most important part of the development of our sport. You are the first touch of the kids to with Volleyball, and have the capacity to engage them, so that they fall in love with the game. I hope that after these two days, you will continue doing the great job you are doing.”
