Armenian Federation introduces Volleyball to young pupils from Sisian
News
The representatives of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA) travelled earlier this week to the city of Sisian, in the southern section of the Caucasus country, to deliver a Volleyball festival at the local primary school no. 4.
There is already a strong foundation and Volleyball tradition in Sisian, where renowned coach Aghvan Hakobyan has been working for many years to share his knowledge and experience with the younger generations. With this in mind and seeing the potential for the further growth of Volleyball in Sisian and the nearby areas, the VFA decided to pay a visit to the school no. 4 and to deliver a Volleyball masterclass there.
The director of the local sports school, Volleyball coach Hayk Hayrapetyan, attended the event as well, thus providing another precious source of information and experience to learn from for all those participating in the festival.
As with all other schools visited by the VFA so far, school no. 4 in Sisian received Volleyball equipment provided by CEV and the VFA too in order to make sure that Volleyball activities continue and become a regular feature during physical education classes.
As part of the School Project, the VFA will be hosting on April 23 a seminar open to coaches and physical education teachers in the Kotayk Region, with as many as 25 people already registered for participation.
