After a short winter break, CEV School Project activities have resumed in North Macedonia as well. Some 50 pupils from OU ‘Sando Masev’ in Strumica enjoyed a training session with the players of VC Nakovski volley.
The pupils joined the workshop together with their teachers and they were shown the basic steps in Volleyball and the easiest way to master them. They were told that Volleyball is one of the most popular sports nowadays and a team sport that improves social skills - which is crucial for children from the age of seven, when they start primary school.
“With the help of Volleyball, the children will learn discipline, commitment, teamwork, learn to win and lose, rejoice, and cry. All this will contribute to their growth as a person and to develop much more conscientious citizens, which is the basis for building healthy future generations,”
said coaches Hari Nakovski and Aleksandar Mitev.
It is a wonderful feeling when sport is the main source of healthy future generations in a society, and when, in addition to promoting a balanced lifestyle, it becomes the primary tool for the proper growth and development of children at such an early age!
