The first webinar of this 11th series run in conjunction with the CEV School Project ‘Play Volleyball – Grow with it’ is scheduled for December 6 at noon CET under the theme ‘Volleyball Initiation: Methodological Reflections on the Educational Process’. Alessandro Licata has been a professional volleyball coach since 1995 and a certified federal instructor for the Italian Volleyball Federation since 2004. He has spent nearly three decades developing talent and promoting excellence in the sport, thereby shaping youth programmes at prestigious Italian clubs in Sanremo, Genoa, Busnago, Bergamo, and Piacenza, achieving remarkable success at regional and national level while nurturing athletes to excel in club and national teams. A specialist in coaching education, he has directed training programmes for territorial and regional committees in Liguria and Lombardy. He continues to inspire the future stars of Volleyball as a coach and educator, sharing his expertise globally.
A week later two webinars will run consecutively on December 13 at 11:00 and 12:00 CET. Elena Mujoska is an experienced Research Fellow and Assistant Professor at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, specialising in criminal law and penology. With a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, she brings expertise in policy analysis, data analysis, legal research, and public speaking. Elena is also the author of ‘Guardians of the Court’, the CEV’s first safeguarding guidelines specifically designed for children, showcasing her commitment to creating safe and inclusive environments in sports. Her work bridges academia and applied research, making her a leading voice in safeguarding and legal frameworks.
An hour later the focus will switch onto volunteering. Nada Rochevska, a recognised leader in sports event management and volunteer coordination, with expertise as the founder of NR Sports Volunteer Solutions, will be the first to take the virtual floor. She will deliver a webinar under the slogan ‘Empowering Volleyball: Volunteer Management Strategies for Lasting Impact in Clubs & Beyond’. Rochevska is, among other things, the President of the NGO Association for Sport and Volunteering in North Macedonia, where she empowers volunteer-driven initiatives globally. A former national basketball player, Nada applies her leadership and teamwork skills to managing volunteer programmes for major events such as the CEV EuroVolley 2023, the European Mountain Running Championship, and the UEFA Super Cup. Holding a Master of Science in Sports Management and currently completing a master’s in Olympic studies, Nada combines academic insight with practical experience, thereby offering innovative strategies for volunteer engagement while championing diversity and inclusion through sports volunteering projects.
The last webinar scheduled for December 20 will feature Maria Farsund as a speaker. Farsund is currently working as a coach instructor at RIG Falköping, Sweden’s premier volleyball academy for developing youth national team players. She specialises in high-performance training, combining technical skill development and strategic thinking with creativity and relationship-based coaching to nurture a supportive and dynamic team environment for young athletes. Farsund, who featured prominently in a series of interviews with emerging female coaches run earlier this year (click here), will deliver a webinar on ‘Building Effective Communication and Leadership’.
