USA’s star Kelsey Robinson returns to Fenerbahce

Istanbul, Turkey, December 23, 2020. Shortly before the holiday season, Fenerbahce Opet ISTANBUL announced that they have reached a deal with USA’s outside hitter Kelsey Robinson, who will be wearing the shirt of the ‘Yellow Angels’ until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
Robinson had spent the first half of the current season in the Chinese national league, playing for Guangdong Hengda. She returns to Istanbul and more specifically to Fenerbahce, after helping the ‘Yellow Angels’ reach the quarterfinals of the CEV Champions League Volley 2020 as well as the top three of last year’s Turkish national league.
Robinson, an Olympic bronze medallist from Rio 2016 and a world champion in 2014 with Team USA, has a wealth of international experience, with her CV including stints with elite teams such as Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO and VakifBank ISTANBUL. Moreover, Robinson is a NORCECA champion (in 2015) as well as a two-time winner of the elite FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
Fenerbahce started their journey in the CEV Champions League Volley 2021 earlier this month, recording two wins in their three matches in Pool B – comfortably easing past Calcit Volley KAMNIK and VB NANTES but losing in three sets to A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO.
