European Legal Commission (ELC) President Alain Fischbacher and his colleagues came together via video link on Friday afternoon for a first virtual meeting as they pursue their mission to support the work of the European Volleyball family for the 2024-2028 term.

The ELC resumed and continued their work on the production of a good governance code and to this extent, the members will further liaise with the CEV Board of Administration in order to share the work they have accomplished this far as well as to discuss any subsequent changes to the CEV Regulatory Framework that its eventual adoption would entail.
Next to this, the ELC will propose the establishment of sub-working groups designed to deal with other areas of relevance such as changes to the Luxembourgish law for non-governmental organisations and a revision of the CEV Disciplinary Regulations in cooperation with the CEV Legal Chamber.
Moreover, the ELC reviewed proposed changes to the Volleyball and Beach Volleyball Competitions Regulations providing their feedback – before they enter into force, any such changes will have to be discussed and endorsed by the CEV Board of Administration.
The ELC members will reconvene in late May in Luxembourg together with their colleagues from the Legal Chamber for the traditional annual plenary and joint meetings where further items will be discussed in order to improve the CEV governance and debate any potential further changes to its current Regulatory Framework.
