ERC President shares vision with Bulgarian counterparts

The European Refereeing Commission (ERC) continues to liaise and exchange experiences with their colleagues from across a variety of National Federations to streamline and upgrade refereeing standards in Europe. 

After previous such experiences with the respective counterparts in Romania and Italy, ERC President Arturo Di Giacomo was recently invited by the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation for a workshop organised in conjunction with the season-opening Super Cup played in Sofia. He seized this valuable opportunity to share the ERC vision and approach regarding the education of Referee Coaches and the overall philosophy of refereeing in modern Volleyball.

The various presentations focused mainly on the need to ensure smooth and consistent refereeing and on the key role played by the Referee Coach in growing, nurturing, and developing the next generation of elite referees.
