CEV President Aleksandar Boričić travelled this weekend to Croatia’s capital city, Zagreb, to attend the 2024 edition of the European Judo Championships annually organised by the European Judo Union (EJU). The CEV President happily accepted an invitation from his counterpart and EJU President Dr László Tóth to witness the action featuring Europe’s top judokas – as they prepare for the eagerly anticipated Paris 2024 Olympics, where judo will be among the highlights on the programme.

Mr Boričić could follow the final day of individual competition on Saturday as well as the subsequent and always exciting mixed team event contested on Sunday, where France triumphed to reassert their continental supremacy. The CEV President emphasised the importance of cultivating a strong cooperation with other continental sports organisations such as the EJU as well as many common values shared by Volleyball and judo, such as friendship, respect, honour, and honesty.
