CEV President hails meeting with NOC of Bosnia and Herzegovina to secure further support for Volleyball in the country

CEV President Aleksandar Boričić travelled earlier this week to Sarajevo for high-profile meetings with local authorities, including the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Prof Dr Izet Rađo and Secretary General Dr Said Fazlagić. The President of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milutin Popović, and the member of the Board of the very same organisation, Mirsad Kadrić, attended the meeting as well.

The discussions revolved around the development of Volleyball in the Balkan country, the performances of the national teams and the provision of further financial aid to support the activities run by the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina authorities had previously informed the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and namely Minister Dubravka Bošnjak of the problems that Volleyball is currently being confronted with in the Balkan country. 

The meeting was held at the premises of the NOC of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo

NOC President Rađo expressed his full support to the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina via the Olympic Solidarity programme and other available projects that shall account for additional funds made available to contribute to the provision of better conditions and results for the national teams representing the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international stage.

The CEV President was satisfied with the outcome of the meeting, taking this opportunity to praise the impressive work done by the NOC for their support of all sports – including Volleyball – in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
