CEV, National Federations of Türkiye and Italy sign all-important partnership

The CEV, the Turkish and Italian Volleyball Federations have signed a truly historic agreement to strengthen their cooperation – with the ceremony held in Antalya attended by the respective Presidents, Aleksandar Boričić, Mehmet Akif Üstündag and Giuseppe Manfredi.

This agreement brings together, under the CEV’s umbrella, two of the world’s leading Volleyball nations – whose national teams and clubs have been a major force to reckon with for decades, and which are home to some of the most competitive national leagues across the globe as well. The CEV and the National Federations of Türkiye and Italy will be working together in areas such as coaching, refereeing, development and education of sports officials, youth age groups, and much more. This cooperation will set an example for other National Federations to follow – and it will for sure aid the further development of the sport in the respective countries and across the whole of Europe as well.

The signing ceremony took place in Antalya, with the popular Turkish seaside resort currently playing host to the FIVB Women’s Club World Championship featuring two Turkish teams – Eczacibasi Dynavit and reigning world champions VakifBank – as well as A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO of Italy.
