CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men kick-off meeting held at home of European Volleyball

The four co-organisers of CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men came together on Wednesday for a meeting with the staff working at the home of European Volleyball in Luxembourg. This was the first such meeting gathering the key partners and personnel working on the delivery of the major event scheduled for the late summer of 2026 across Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania. 

There is more than a year and a half left until the European Volleyball elite will be playing for continental glory. However, the preparations have already started in full swing with Wednesday’s meeting and discussions laying the foundation for the extensive work that lies ahead. Competitions matters, venues, logistics, volunteers, media, digital activations and promotion, marketing, and branding were among the topics addressed in a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. 

The CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men will be the fourth edition of the continental championship to take place across four countries and to feature 24 teams since the current concept and competition format were introduced in 2019. The top eight teams from the 2023 edition that crowned Poland as the champions of Europe plus the four teams representing the host countries will be joined by another 12 teams securing their spot through the qualifiers ending in the summer of 2025. 

Italy will host one pool, half of the 8th and quarterfinals plus the semis and medal matches. Bulgaria will deliver one pool plus the remaining 8th and quarterfinal games. Finland and Romania will be hosting the remaining two pools. 

The CEV and the four hosting National Federations have committed to working closely together to deliver an experience to remember for fans, players, media and everybody else who will be following the highly anticipated event on the ground and from afar as well!
