This past week, CEV Managing Director Vuk Karanovic and Development Manager Jaejung Jung travelled to Brussels to attend the Annual Partners Meeting organised by the EOC EU Office. The summit provided a platform for discussion, debate and the exchange of views on a variety of issues in European sport. The meeting brought together updates on EU funding opportunities as well as other topics of common interest, such as the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions.

The CEV delegation joined partners and colleagues from many other organisations for the meeting held in Brussels

Representatives of the European Commission provided insight on the current and next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) and contributed to discussions on the European Sport Model, thereby examining key policy developments, governance, and grassroot support.

Partner organisations such as the CEV had the opportunity to present updates on their ongoing activities, exchange good practices, engage in dialogue with other stakeholders as well as outline their priorities for the future. In turn, the EOC EU Office reported on its recent initiatives and services, while thanking partners for their continued support and cooperation.

The CEV has worked closely with the EOC EU Office for a number of years on a variety of EU-funded projects covering the development of Volleyball at the grassroots level, the environmental sustainability of major events, safeguarding in sport as we as gender equality - among others.
