Annual EFC meeting held in Luxembourg

The members of the European Finance Commission (EFC) chaired by CEV Vice-President and Treasurer Eric Adler came together on Thursday morning at the home of European Volleyball in Luxembourg City for their annual plenary meeting.

With the assistance of the CEV staff, they reviewed the accounts for 2022 as well as the updated budget for the current year before discussing a first draft of the budget devised for 2024, which takes into consideration the information provided by all departments, Commissions and Working Groups on their planned activities.
The CEV Finance Department shared some updates on their daily tasks and work before the ensuing discussions revolved around the CEV’s mid- and long-term strategy in terms of budgeting and banking. The CEV is currently working, together with all relevant stakeholders, on the production of a strategic plan to ensure the further growth of the game at all levels and the sound state of its finances is certainly an asset to capitalise on as efforts continue to elevate Volleyball and assist all members of the Volleyball family.
